If you really want to work towards earning the title of “world traveller” - you’re going to have to embark on a solo adventure sooner or later. To make your first experience as whimsical as possible, we’ve compiled some of the best and solo-friendly cities in Europe.
Fancy a solo cycle? Copenhagen has not been named the best bike city's in the world for no reason! Eager cyclists can enjoy 390 kilometers of designated bike lanes, and a “Cycle Super Highway” which connects the city to the town of Albertslund.

Copenhagen combines the old and the new for the ultimate best of all worlds. Copenhagen is cosmopolitan blessed with a small-town feel. You have the views, the Danish design, and the Michelin restaurants. An added plus is that you will never be more than 15 minutes away from the waterfront.
Lisbon is a beautiful place to explore solo. If you're looking to explore some beautiful architecture, museums, and visit mouth-dropping book shops then Lisbon is for you. Making friends is easy in this city and rumour has it that Lisbon has a very unique and interesting nightlife worth checking out.

Here is where you go to get inspired. In Florence, you'll enjoy the artistic beauty that Italy has to offer. Art lovers come here to check out art from Michelangelo, Da Vinci, and many more greats. Even the dome of Florence cathedral is stunning to look at. If you are travelling to get inspired and grow your artistic side, then Florence is for you. You will surely have interesting conversations with others while admiring art.
When you’re travelling alone it is important to make sure the city you are flying has friendly locals like the Irish. Dublin is famous for having a very lively pub scene, which makes it a perfect spot to meet people and share stories. Keep an eye out for cool vintage shops as well, we hear that some of the best are stationed here.
The besk kind of solo travels are ones where you can close off from the stresses of life and just unwind. If you're craving some major self-care time, escape to Mallorca. However, if you get tired of the turquoise beaches and sunshine (which is very rare), the island also has a cosmopolitan creative hub to immerse yourself in.
