Halloween in Europe is a mixture of colourful displays, events, parades, and of course, trick or treating.
Halloween is a fun commercial holiday for all and is even better when you're abroad in Europe. You have the opportunity to visit frightening places and indulge in another cities spooky traditions. We've compiled a list of Europe’s best Halloween destinations and some things to do:
Prague during Halloween is a gothic fairytale. Although the Czechs aren't the biggest celebrators, visitors can get involved in Halloween attractions at the Old Jewish Cemetery, the Torture Museum, and the Old Town.

Expect themed events everywhere from clubs and restaurants to boats and museums. During this time of year, you'll also find ghost tours, Amsterdam Dungeon, concerts, Monster Ball, and scary movie marathons to attend.
Understandably, Venice doesn't pop to mind as the ultimate Halloween destination. However, the eerie atmosphere comes out a week or so before Halloween. You'll see Halloween decorations in shop windows, themed nightclub nights, and a parade or two.
Barcelona is a vibrant city with many traditions, festivals, and cultural events. Halloween is celebrated differently in Spain, it's a two-day event; on the 31st you'll find all the costumes and parties and on the 1st of November is All Saints Day, Dia de Todos Los Santos.

Bratislava turns into a big party city full of zombies, evil, and all things Halloween. Locals organise many events, movie nights, and club nights.
